Brain stirs.
Eyes open.
Spirit activates.
Pour coffee.
Open laptop.
Organize data.
Study outcomes.
Avoid comparison.
Rehearse conversations.
Rehearse conversations.
Teachers smile,
Questions flow.
Thoughts ping.
Collaboration wins.
Insecurity shrinks.
Confidence soars.
Connection matters.
Learning lingers.
Tuesday redeems.
Eyelids droop.
Bedtime calls.
Rest well, friend. Today was redeemed because you took charge and redeemed it. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love this short bursts in this poem! The structure matches the thoughts… and time of day! So fun and fingers crossed for more rest tonight!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great model for a noun/verb poem! We are reviewing both in my class right now so that is what I noticed first! Until the end when you said "Eyelids droop. Bedtime calls". Then I realized how draining Tuesday was!
ReplyDeleteTenille, this slice is just right, especially the last stanza. I think I'm calling it quits for the night, too. I am glad that we met at the Meet-up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mentor for all of us. I often shy away from poetry. But look at you -- all the genres, any genre. Thank you for giving me confidence to try!!
